Salon Cecilia” is a fast growing full service hair salon that specializes in a complete line of hair services. From 1999 to present, the Salon has attracted high profile clients that remain nameless for obvious reasons. I had one thing in mind when I migrated to the United States many years ago. It was my aspiration to have a career that was in my heart. I now have a business that I deeply cherish and enjoy as owner and creative force. I attended the Robert Fiance Beauty School seeking the professional way to perform hair care for friends and family. Although I had a natural affinity to hair styling my love of the art grew as I pursued formal training in the craft. My big break I credit to joining the John Atchison hair Salon where two years later I advanced to artistic director and hair cutting instructor. After 12 years with John Atchison I decided to branch out on my own. Today I realize it was the best decision I have ever made. I love what I do not a day goes by where I don’t feel the need to be in the salon.

I think today people want an easy free good look one that can be achieved with healthy hair and a precision hair cut or a very well made custom fitted wig. I spend most of my time making people happy by transforming them with an easy look that makes them feel confident about themselves. That’s what makes me happy.

Having a true passion for making others look and feel good about themselves., I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most gifted hair weavers in the beauty business. For many years i attended weaving classes to explore many techniques of weaving and mastering the perfect technique that will not cause damage to your natural hair. After 9 years in the business I carefully created my own unique individualized technique of weaving. With my weaving technique I carefully braid securing the clients hair allowing it to grow, at the same time the clients scalp can be cleansed and moisturized on a regular basis enabling their hair to grow. At salon Cecilia we use the absolute purest virgin human hair, when I mean purest the hair has not been chemically processed to change texture or color.
There’s beauty in every texture

I developed a love for exotic hair braiding twisting since I was a little girl in Namibia Southern part of Africa. My family and I migrated to America about four years ago. I than attended Beauty school at school of cooperative training where I majored in natural hair styling. Later found a home at Salon Cecilia, whereby I started off as an intern and graduated to the role of junior stylist. I love this place I got an opportunity to work with one of the best stylist in this industry; learning from her is a privilege. I am on a mission to build a clientele and I found out, New York is a land of opportunities if you can make it here you can make it anywhere. My future goal is to have my own salon someday and be just like my role model Miss Cecilia Knight or even better :) but in Namibia.
